Description of Our School
The professional instructors at the Classy Pet Grooming School motivate students to recognize the ability for excellence within themselves. Classy Pet Grooming School is committed to building careers by providing a comprehensive educational program which instills students with the knowledge of pet grooming and business practices acquired by the faculty from many years of hard work and study.
Your instructors have many years of practical experience as pet groomers. All are Nationally Certified Master Groomers. In 2006 our instructors won first and second place in grooming competition sponsored by the National Dog Groomers Association. They have won many other awards for their artistic grooming skills. All have owned and operated successful grooming businesses
Students completing this program will have the necessary technical and business skills and the sense of accomplishment and pride to help them succeed in this profession. The training provided here will prepare them for the unlimited possibilities in the pet industry.
Upon the successful completion of the training you will be issued a diploma certifying you as a Professional Pet Groomer. The Classy Pet Grooming School is approved and regulated by The State of Colorado Division of Private Occupational Schools. This agency is a division of The Colorado Department of Higher Education.
The Classy Pet Grooming School is co - located with The Classy Pup Grooming Salon, (the premier pet grooming service in Northern Colorado). The salons reputation for excellence and customer service assures a steady supply of animals for use in the training environment.
The Classy Pup Grooming Salon has been in business at the same location for over 13 years. Due to its reputation for superior service the salon is typically booked weeks in advance. You will have the opportunity to learn your pet grooming skills in a very dynamic environment.
We have recently added Pet First Aid and CPR to our course curriculum. Students will be trained in Pet First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
The class size is limited to nine students. Each student has his or her own animals to work on during the class session.
The small class size and the professional atmosphere provide an ideal environment for acquiring first class grooming skills.
Clipper-Vac System
All student grooming stations are equipped with the Clipper Vac Grooming System. This is a vacuum system which connects directly to the grooming shears. This state of the art grooming technology removes pet hair and dander as you groom resulting in better grooming and a cleaner environment for you. It substantially speeds up the grooming process.
Additional Courses Available
We offer specialized shorter length courses for those who would like to refine their grooming skills including an advanced grooming course for experienced groomers. A course of instruction is also being offered for those who want to be trained as pet brusher and bathers. Please contact us for details
